Philip is a fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the MIA and a member of the Institute of Data Processing and Management (MIDPM) - UK. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.

He was a Chief Financial Controller and has experience in the engineering, oil and gas, and construction sector. He was worked in the capacity as an Accountant and senior manager in the commercial sector for many years.

He taught ACCA, CIMA, ICSA, UOL and other courses at educational institutions both in Malaysia and Singapore and has been teaching for over 25 years. He specializes in teaching Auditing, Strategic Management, Corporate Governance and Information Technology subjects. He also conducts Continued Professional Development (CPD) programmes for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) on audit and management related topics.
